Viewer Profile

Rafael Grassetti, 36, is an Art Director at Netflix. He previously worked on titles such as God of War Ragnarok, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son, The Order 1886, Mass Effect 3, and many more. He is particularly known for his work on the 2018 Game of the Year, God of War Ragnarok. His meticulous attention to detail in character design stems from his deep understanding of anatomy, including pores, wrinkles, and every perfect and imperfect feature on the face, from its silhouette to its tertiary details.

Grassetti worked for Santa Monica Studios for over a decade before joining Netflix Games as an Art Director. He recently announced that he is working with several other industry veterans who have joined Netflix to develop an unrevealed AAA game.

https://www.rgrassetti.com - I like his website because it showcases the amount of experience and work he has done, and he's not just any other character artist.

The other four websites are very similar to one another, primarily because they are linked to ArtStation. There's nothing wrong with this approach; it allows artists to showcase their work and let it speak for itself. After viewing their portfolios, visitors can then find their contact information and learn about their areas of interest and the types of work they do.

Testing

The viewer spend the most time in the 3D model section and artworks and the least time in the the main menu and technical section.

  1. Do they look at all your work? Or only some? Or only the main page?

They look at everything in the 3D model section and artwork but not so much in the main menu and topology/uvs.

  2. Do they look at your About statement? Do they read it? All of it?

They click the about page but I think they only gloss over it and probably not read it.

  3. Is there work your viewer seems especially interested in? Or less interested in?

It varies because some of my friends like 2D art more over 3D but they show interest on how I was about to make the 3D aspect.

  4. Can they find detail views? Do you have them?

I showed the description and the full image for my 2D art but for the 3D art they cannot see the back of the model and it in the video in the main menu

  5. Do they want to know more about projects? Do you have explanatory text?

They did not question any of my 2D art only complimented it slightly, but ask questions on the 3D model section.

Overall, I think the 3D model was definitely the stronger point of my website, but I will add the video in that section as well in order to showcase the model much better. It is great that they are more interested in the 3D section because it is what I want to specialize and will add more models in the later dates.
